Amidst nature while also conveniently located in the one of the safest residential neighborhoods of Paraty, Caborê, the CASA Ecológica Paraty provides easy access to all the region's best attractions, while only a short walk (1,7km) to the city center and to Jabaquara beach! With easy access to services like bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants, our location is perfect for those seeking quiet relaxation and also convenience.
The beautifully designed Ipê house, sleeping up to 7 guests (rate based on total guest occupancy), is perfect for a group of friends or large family. In addition to the home, guests will have access to a spacious yard, an outdoor shower, and fire pit, a perfect area for enjoying a barbecue, lounging in the sun, playing a game, singing around a bonfire while looking at the night stars, or having a picknick.
The beautiful yard, filled with organic fruit trees and vegetables, is shared with two other rental homes, forming a quaint villa atmosphere, perfect for meeting new folks, but also spacious enough for privacy. Behind the Ipe house, is a small studio, where our collaborators (and cat - Cuica) live so that they are always available to help out, taking care of the day to day activities and chores our community. We also offer uncovered free parking on site (shared parking area) for up to one car (two cars upon request).

This lovely 2-bedroom home has one room on the first floor with air conditioning, a double bed, single bed, large closet, and glass doors that open onto the deck with a hammock. The living room nook, next to the kitchen can be used to relax among friends, or the futon couches can be joined into a double bed and used as an extra sleeping area (separated by curtains). The second floor mezzanine suite with double bed and wooden floor and walls is a cozy delight. Sit on the bench overlooking the activity in the living room below, or wake with the morning light and take in the mountain view. All rooms have solar showers, powerful fans and mosquito nets. Perfect for a holiday or work-vacation, the house has wi-fi throughout, three desks, a fully equipped American-style kitchen, equipped with a blender, cabinets, utensils, coffee-machine, stainless-steel pans and pressure cooker. The spacious living room with large doors opens onto the deck equipped with hammocks, benches and large table for 8, perfect for a relaxing afternoon, among friends and family.
The Ipê house is part of CASA's mission (Connection, Learning, Sinergy, and Art), an educational-evironmental project which promotes tourism and harmonious living. Caring for the environment is part of our daily routine, and we invite guests to do the same, recycling their trash and disposing of food scraps in the compost and worm bins, and taking care to reduce water use and electricity. We ask that you use only biodegradable soaps and conditioners, as well as our natural cleaning products whenever possible.
The homes were built using ecological materials like bamboo and recycled wood, as well as principles for conserving energy use and reducing wastes. We have a banana sewage treatment system, a green roof, solar panels for electricity, solar hot water system, and we are in the process of putting in a rainwater capture system. When you choose the C.A.S.A Ecológica you are supporting low-impact tourism and are part of the solution for a sustainable future!
The guests have exclusive and full access to the Ipê house, its belongings and the yard (shared) and parking (shared). The access to the property is through one common gate for all houses on the lot, with separate paths to each house. There is also access through the car gate. There is parking on the property for one car (two can be considered with prior reservation), and there is plenty of space on the street in front of the house. We have never had any problem in terms of space or safety. The neighborhood is one of the safest and best in the city.
