Summary: Great location, owner was a Electric car wizz which was helpful at times for someone who was using one of these for the first time.
The owners were very prescriptive of how to tidy the flat etc.
Perhaps they shouldn't rent on Hotels.com since this wasn't a hotel in any shape or form. It was disappointing that the accomodation wasn't physically in the main Residence, just a small lockoff on the side of the residence

Summary: Beautiful accommodation on the Rhône in a gorgeous little village off the beaten track. Very welcoming, personal service, family owned business. Spacious suite, lots of interesting artwork and artifacts throughout. Our room was a bit hot but we had a nice fan and we were in the middle of a heatwave across Europe. Definitely worth staying here. Great value.

Summary: Lovely B&B, ran by a wonderful couple who will make you feel at home. The property seats in a beautiful village and sits right next to a river with beautiful mountain views. If possible, I'd suggest you have your dinners there and get to know other guests. Unlike a regular hotel, at this facility, you will feel at home, will get to experience a more organic France and hopefully get to know other people. If you're in the area, this is highly recommended.

Summary: We were seeking a place where we could immerse ourselves into the atmosphere of the French countryside immediately after our plane trip from Canada. It fit perfectly. We drove from the Lyon airport through small villages with medieval memories, and were completely transformed on arrival in the tiny village of Vertrieu. The Relais building is authentic and speaks to local history inside and out. The hosts are welcoming and polite. They made outstanding efforts for us, arriving with our luggage still in transit. We had a lovely view of the Rhone and its escarpments from our bedroom. The large bed was ample and very, very comfortable. As there were no other guests off season, we had the bathroom and even a television room for our own use. The meals were simple and delicious. Do take the host`s advice about wines. His suggestions were simple, local, and thoughtful. Prices were most reasonable. The hosts can also advise visitors on the history of the place and the region. They extended themselves to make us comfortable and to become more knowledgeable. This is not luxury; it is authenticity and hospitality personified.
