Built over 3 floors and set in its own pretty walled garden, this apartment has comanding 360 degree views over the ocean, river and mountains. Whales, seals, penguins, turtles and mantas may be seen from its ocean terraces and owls and other birds of prey visit the gardens daily - whilst at the back the kingfishers, cormorants and herons fish in the river.
The property is ideal for a romantic break such as a honeymoon - or even a party group (as is secluded and on the beach) - but mostly for those who love nature.
Perhaps the most beautiful feature is the top 90 sq m terrace with 360 degree views with its own kitchen, bathroom and barbecue oven. At night you can see the Milky Way falling into the ocean.

The property is enclosed and secluded within its own high walls - up to 3 vehicles may be brought inside. We have a new pool - 7m x 3.5m and it is from 1m to 2m in depth. The pool is AYOR please be very careful after drinking or with children. There is a bar area next to the pool with a fridge, sink and portable BBQ unit - so you can choose an ocean terrace or poolside BBQ!
The gardens around the pool are attractive and well established and attract a lot of bird life
We love animals and have 3 rescue dogs and 1 rescue cat, all are friendly and all live outside on the property
The dogs are called Stormie (male,white), Naomi (short hair female,black) and Darty (long hair male black) They love to be taken for long walks along the canal or sea.
The cat is Uhtred (tortoiseshell)
We have a caseiro or caretaker, his name is Leo - he visits the house daily - He looks after the animals, the garden and swimming pool.
Either ourselves or Leo will welcome you and show you around the property.
The village of Recanto de Itaipuacu is charming in the Brazilian style with a number of restaurants, bars and buses to Rio.
