Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The studio itself is modern, functional, and cozy with a nice bathroom/shower. The real plus of this property is the location; mere seconds from eating/shopping on Rue du Midi and well connected to the Paris city center tourist hotspots via Metro Line 1 and RER A.

Negative: Problems with an improperly installed electronic lock on the door of the hallway leading into the property before we ever arrived. People that checked into Blue Stay unit across from us a few days prior to our arrival made it a point to ask us if we’d had issues with the door getting stuck. We didn’t have an issue until getting locked out on Sunday evening. After 3 hours of back and forth and “try this, try that” from property management, it took a locksmith with a prybar and other tools to gain entry. We were grateful to get back in, but the evening was completely ruined. The lock was totally removed and properly reinstalled the next day while we were out, and worked fine for the remainder of our stay. This issue could have been avoided if it had been addressed when our neighbors first reported it, which was 3 days prior to our arrival.

Summary: Despite the lock issue, we had a wonderful time in Paris/Vincennes and would book here again in a heartbeat.
