Summary: It's difficult to put into words just how amazing my stay was at the Hilltop Sea View Villas. If you're looking to have an americanized Jamaican experience please look at the all-inclusive resorts, they will be happy to take you there. If you are looking for an authentic Jamaican experience, however, this is hands down the place to stay. It's incredibly affordable, the property owner and the property managers both live on site and help without a moment's hesitation should you need anything (transportation to the grocery stores, recommendations for where to go or what to do, or any technical/general repairs needed throughout your stay). There is a perfectly working gas stove with all necessary pots and pans and cultery. The bedroom is quite impressive with a beautiful king mattress, working television set, and plenty of storage space. The bathroom is quite big and services all of your sanitary needs. In the yard there are three different types of mango trees, a banana tree, a soursap tree, and several breadfruit trees. Everyone in the neighborhood knows the owners and the residents of the property living with you and everyone is very kind. The views from both balconies are absolutely breathtaking. There are several small restaurants in the neighborhood, all of which serve incredibly flavorful cheap food. Karen runs the first shop on the corner of the neighborhood which overlooks the ocean, just up the road the property owner's brother, Chris, sells bagged fruit every morning - harvested and prepared that morning, just up the road across from the auto repair, Mark sells the juiciest jerk chicken with rice and beans every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, just passed mark, Carl sells incredibly crispy fried chicken, deliciously baked barbecue chicken, omelets made to order (seriously the best omelet I've ever had in my life - if you can find one better, I'll go and try it but until then you won't convince me) and as you continue into the neighborhood on the walk to the villa several other friendly neighbors play music from their shops and say hello to you as you pass by. The other people living in the apartments on property are incredibly friendly, often inviting you in to play games on game nights and learn from their culture. This was hands down one of the best places I have ever stayed in my life. If you have the privilege of finding a booking slot, absolutely take it. You will be taken care of and provided a truly authentic experience. Thank you!
