Welcome to Sunnyside! This lovely two-story home is located on exclusive gated Windermere Island. Windermere Island has a world-class 3-mile-long pink sand beach that is wide, flat, and well protected by a barrier reef. On the other side of Windermere Island is Savannah Sound, which is as calm as a lake and right off our backyard. Enjoy swimming and fishing year-round from your backyard. There is also public access available to Windermere's 3-mile-long beach.
Sunnyside comes with membership in the Windermere Club, a mile from the house. The Club has a heated pool, tennis, pickleball and a gym. In season, the Club also offers fine dining and a bar. (Season is typically November through May).
Enter Sunnyside from the first floor. There are two bedrooms on this level, each with an en suite full bath and each with a water view.
The master bedroom has a king bed that also can be configured as two twins. It has sliding glass doors opening onto a patio that overlooks Savannah Sound and the backyard.
The guest bedroom has twin beds that can be configured as a king. It also has sliding glass doors opening onto a patio that overlooks Savannah Sound and the backyard.
The downstairs also has a laundry room with washer/dryer, extra freezer, and storage for towels and linens.
From the first floor, the stairway leads up the open-concept great room with water views throughout. The living area is furnished with a sofa and armchairs and is equipped with a 43” TV. The dining area has a table that seats 4.
The modern island kitchen has an electric range and oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, mixer, and plenty of cookware and dining ware.
This room opens onto both a screened porch and a spectacular patio with panoramic water views of both the ocean and the sound. It is furnished for both lounging and dining, and is equipped with a gas grill.
Sunnyside is fully air conditioned. Amenities at Sunnyside include super-fast Starlink internet, washer/dryer, gas grill, back-up generator, beach chairs and beach towels and four bicycles.
